Marisse Cato is a London-born composer/performer, researcher and interdisciplinary artist. Having completed her undergraduate degree in Music at the University of Cambridge, she receives standalone commissions as a composer and curates work with artists across disciplines as a sound artist and violinist. Her academic work explores Afro-diasporic sound knowledges and Black contemporary art aesthetics through decolonial lenses to facilitate the curation of empathy through sonic experiences.
