This concert experience celebrates the work of Fromm Distinguished Scholar Wadada Leo Smith. The first half of the concert features FLUX Quartet performing his String Quartet, No. 17, inspired by the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.

The second half will feature a sonic meditation on Gardens of Peace, performed by an ensemble including Wadada Leo Smith, Yosvany Terry, Seiyoung Jang, Vijay Iyer, Yvette Janine Jackson, and Andrew Cyrille.

The event will begin with a pre-concert conversation and Q&A with Wadada Leo Smith, Vijay Iyer, and Yosvany Terry.
