John Knowles Paine Concert Hall
The Harvard University Studio for Electroacoustic Composition presents the 2023 HYDRA concerts. Three concerts over two nights will showcase the latest creations in fixed-media composition, live electronics, and improvisation with electronics, rendered through a 40-speaker sound system.
Hydra also collaborates with the conference Instruments, Interfaces, Infrastructures: An Interdisciplinary Conference on Musical Media, organized in the Harvard Music Department from May 11-13. As part of that program, two workshops will be held on May 13, and Georgia Spiropoulos’ composition ‘Roll… n’Roll… n’Roll’ will be performed. Furthermore, Martina Schucan (Switzerland) will play ‘Herkunft-entschlüsseln-entbehren’ for violoncello and 9-channel live-electronics by Hans Tutschku.
