An evening of traditional and contemporary music from South India and Afghanistan: A concert by the students of Music 157, Music 190, and the Parker Quartet

The concert will feature South Indian vocal and vina music, the music of visiting artist Dawood Pazhman from Badakhshan, Afghanistan, and collaborative performances with Pazhman, the Parker Quartet, and the mridangam player David Nelson. The concert is sponsored by Professor Richard K. Wolf’s courses on South Indian Classical Music, Music in Islamic Contexts, the Provostial Fund, and the Elson Family Fund.
