Michèle Duguay
Michèle Duguay (she/her) is a music theorist specializing in popular music, gender studies, and computer-assisted music analysis. Her work has been published in Music Theory Online, the Journal of the Society for American Music, Music Theory Spectrum, the proceedings of ISMIR, and Theory and Practice. She received a Ph.D. in music theory from the CUNY Graduate Center, where she also completed a Certificate Program in Women’s Studies, an M.A. in music theory from McGill University, and a B.Mus. from the University of Ottawa. She is a former faculty member at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and has previously taught music theory at the City College of New York and Lehman College. Michèle is a co-founder of the Engaged Music Theory working group.
