Professor Alejandro L. Madrid named a Walter Channing Cabot Fellow

Alejandro L. Madrid, the Walter W. Naumburg Professor of Music, has been awarded the Walter Channing Cabot Fellowship. The fellowship is an annual prize honoring Harvard scholars for their contributions to the advancement of scholarship in the fields of literature, history, or art. Professor Madrid's new book is The Archive and the Aural City. Sound, Knowledge, and the Politics of Listening.

The Cabot Fund was established in 1905 in honor of Walter Channing Cabot by his wife, Elizabeth Rogers Cabot, and their children. Its aim is to award and encourage scholarly endeavors and academic distinction among Harvard faculty.
