Michèle Duguay (she/her) is a music theorist specializing in popular music, gender studies, and computer-assisted music analysis. Her work has been published in *Music Theory Online*, the *Journal of the Society for American Music,* *Music Theory Spectrum,* the proceedings of *ISMIR,* and *Theory and Practice*. She received a Ph.D. in music theory from the CUNY Graduate Center, where she also completed a Certificate Program in Women’s Studies, an M.A. in music theory from McGill University, and a B.Mus. from the University of Ottawa. She is a former faculty member at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and has previously taught music theory at the City College of New York and Lehman College. Michèle is a co-founder of the [Engaged Music Theory](https://engagedmusictheory.com/) working group.
